Introduction:

We had the honor of working with Gary Frith, the hardworking ace behind Houston Handyman, to overhaul his existing website and digital assets. Facing an outdated website and inconsistent signals, Gary needed a fresh look that matched his 20-year legacy. Our approach focused on understanding homeowner needs and leveraging Gary's extensive experience. We developed a Houston-focused, user-friendly website on Webflow, designed a new logo, shot professional photography, and created a shiny style guide, along with business cards and flyers. The result? A bold, modern identity that highlights Gary's reliability and attracts more customers.

Client Background

Meet Gary Frith, the Southern Gentleman behind Houston Handyman. With over 20 years of elbow grease and expertise, Gary’s been the go-to guy for all things handy in Houston. But even legends need a little facelift, so Gary came to us with a mission: revamp his digital game and brand identity to match his stellar reputation.

Challenges Faced

Gary’s old website? A total dinosaur. Hard to navigate, impossible to book services easily, and didn’t scream, “Hey, I’m the best handyman in Houston!” The branding was all over the place, not doing justice to his legacy. Plus, he needed some killer photography to show off his work. We met with Gary and talked about his project and, perhaps most importantly, his business needs. Gary's old website did not have an intuitive way for new customers to check out all of the incredible projects he's worked on over the years. We wanted to change that.

Our Approach

We kicked things off by diving deep into Gary’s world. Homeowners need quick, easy bookings and a handyman they can trust. They also needed to be able to look at the kind of work that he's done, big and small. We crafted a design that not only looked sleek but also turned visitors into loyal customers. By spotlighting Gary’s 20-year reign as “The Houston Handyman,” we built a rebrand that polished his experience and reliability.

Solution Implemented

We rolled up our sleeves and got to work:

Webflow Website: We built a killer website from scratch, showcasing services and making booking a breeze. We created a showcase for his old work, powered by Webflow's CMS so people could see what Gary was capable of.
New Logo: Gary isn't just a handyman, he's the Houston Handyman. We wanted to create a logo that highlighted his reputation in our city and presented his professionalism with Houston in mind.
Photography: Our team took professional photos of Gary on the job site, which is levels above what any stock photography may have done for him.
Style Guide: We created a style guide to keep everything neat and consistent.
Marketing Materials: Lastly, we designed business cards and flyers inspired by the website’s look, making sure to put Gary's expertise and range of services at the forefront.

Conclusion

In a nutshell, we took Houston Handyman from copper to gold. We fused modern design with Gary’s rich history to create a website that's sleek, intuitive, and conversion-focused. The result? A bold, Houston-focused identity that draws in customers and keeps them coming back.
